The IPL has ended and International cricket season has already began. But in the recently concluded IPL we saw International stars struggle to get going in the UAE pitches. But now the same stars have found their form back in the International series. So here we discuss about the top 5 players who were flop in IPL and hit in International series.

1) Steve Smith

Steve Smith who led the Rajasthan Royals side in the IPL had a below par season as per his standards. In his 14 matches he could score only 311 runs at an average of 25.91. Smith clearly struggled to get going during the IPL’s. But in the present series against India which started last week. In 2 matches he already has 2 centuries both hit in 62 balls at an impressive strike rate. He has so far scored 105(66) and 104(64) in the first 2 matches of the ODI series.

2) Glenn Maxwell

Glenn Maxwell entered IPL with huge expectations. The middle order of KXIP was totally dependent on Maxwell. But Maxwell ended up having one of his worst IPL seasons with the bat. In 13 matches he managed to score only 108 runs at a pathetic average of 15.42. He was undoubtedly one of the most disappointing buys of the season as he couldn’t even a single six in the IPL. But Maxwell’s fortunes have changed in the series against India as in 2 matches he has 2 innings of 45(19) and 63(29) which include 7 massive sixes as well.

3) Aaron Finch

Aaron Finch is the 3rd Aussie cricketer in our flop in IPL and hit in International series list. RCB had acquired Aaron Finch and had kept huge expectations on him. But Aaron Finch never got going in the IPL. Apart from 1 half century against MI he struggled throughout the tournament. Finch scored only 268 runs at an average of 22.33. Moreover he was even dropped from the RCB XI for few matches. But against India in 2 matches he already has a century and a half century. He has scored 114(124) and 60(69) in the 2 matches so far and has turned into an headache for the Indian bowlers.

4) James Neesham

Kiwi allrounder James Neesham too didn’t have the best of IPL. Although he played just 5 matches in the season but could score mere 19 runs in those matches at an average of 9.50. Even with the ball he managed to pick just 2 wickets and was rather expensive in his spells. But in the 1st T20I against West Indies he played a match winning knock of 48(24) and gave a huge shock to all the KXIP fans.

5) Andre Russell

KKR’s muscle man Andre Russel’s failure was one of the main reasons for thier bad run in the season. In 10 matches which he played he scored only 117 runs at an average of 13. Even with ball he managed to pick just 6 wickets throughout the season. But in the LPL 2020 in 2 matches he already has 2 match winning knocks of 24(13) and 65(19). His 65(19) was the difference in the 5 overs match as he smashed Mohd Amir all around the park.
