MI vs DC Match Preview, Predication XI
Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals take on each other on Sunday eve, in what promises to be a mouth-watering encounter.
Delhi Capitals – Dream Run
Delhi have had a dream run so far in this year’s IPL. They’ve had different man of the matches in each of their games, showing how well each player is contributing. With 5 wins in 6 games, they sit at the top of the table. If they manage to defeat Mumbai Indians, it will only boost their already high confidence.
Challenge For Rabada-nortje
Along with his Proteas companion Anrich Nortje, Rabada has formed one of the best death bowling duos in this year’s IPL. But Mumbai’s brilliant hitting in the last 5 overs, courtesy Pollard and Hardik will offer a tough challenge for Delhi’s death bowling.
Axar Patel – Choker In The Middle
Axar has so far conceded 14, 18, 14(2overs), 18, 8(2overs) in the 5 matches that he’s bowled in. Opposition’s inability to take runs off Axar has been the deciding factor for Delhi in the middle overs.
Mumbai – Bowlers Domination
Mumbai Indians have come into the IPL with probably the strongest squad. They have dominated games, some on the back of extreme firepower in the death and some on the back of lethal bowling by the pace trio. All three of Bumrah, Pattinson and Boult feature on the purple cap list. With their spinners coming into the groove as well, Mumbai looks a tough side to score runs against.
Neither of the two teams, Delhi and Mumbai have won chasing in this year’s IPL, although they’ve both had the chance to chase only once. The trend in this year’s IPL has been that teams batting first are winning a majority of the matches. Will we see a successful chase in tomorrow’s game?
