RCB vs SRH Match Preview and Predication XI
Punjab’s loss yesterday meant that SRH will qualify should they win both their remaining games. They can gather a maximum of 14 points but their net run rate will take them through. There are only 3 teams this season who can get 16 points. MI has already done that, the rest are DC and RCB. RCB needs to win at least one more game and their playoffs seat will be confirmed.
Rationale Behind Leaving Out Bairstow?
Johnny Bairstow was left out in the last game and Saha was roped in to open alongside Warner. Saha didn’t lower the bar set by Bairstow but only raised it and smashed the ball to all parts. Bairstow was left out to include Williamson to provide strength to their fragile middle order which crumbled in front of KXIP in the absence of experience. Bairstow did well the last time they
faced RCB but in all likelihood he will not play.
Rashid Khan – The Spin Wizard
Rashid Khan is in the top 5 of the most valuable players this season and why not! He has taken 17 wickets so far with an average of 14 and an economy of just 5 RPO. He will be instrumental in tonight’s game, given his proven run against Kohli and ABD.
RCB – MUCH ALIKE SRH
RCB is not very different from SRH. They too left out a star opener (Aaron Finch) in the last game and they too have a thin lower order batting. Also, They both have world class leg spinners. A lot will ride on the top orders of both the teams. RCB has a better overall top 4 considering Padikkal’s form but players like Warner and Pandey can turn the game on its head at any stage.
Which Foreign Bowler To Play?
RCB has a call to make regarding which foreign bowler they want to play. They included Steyn in the last game but that didn’t turn out good. Udana seems the most likely replacement, who has been pretty decent with the ball this season. Morris needs an alley at the death and RCB desperately needs to sort that out if they want to win against SRH.
