IPL 2021 : CSK vs DC Match Preview and Predicted Playing XI
In the 2nd match of IPL 2021 we will see two completely contrasting teams taking on each other. We have Dhoni leading a highly experienced CSK side while a young 23 years old Rishabh Pant leading Delhi Capitals.
Will the new faces in CSK bring a new fortune?
CSK did not have a great season in the previous edition of IPL. It is a fact that the average age of Chennai has kept on increasing over the years. This has raised a lot of eyebrows but this may also be the last time for the big players to showcase their experience. They have a stable middle order consisting of Faf Du Plessis, Raina and Dhoni himself. But they really need to step up for their team to make a better performance than last year. They will be missing the services of Lungi Ngidi in this match which may make way for Imran Tahir. Moeen Ali’s inclusion will also be a boost as they missed a handy finger spinner last year. He will also be of benefit with the bat in the latter stages of the game.
Delhi Capitals once more in the pursuit of gold
Delhi faced a huge blow even before the tournament started with their captain Shreyas Iyer getting injured. This mishap turned into an opportunity for Rishabh Pant to lead his team into the IPL. This team has entered the tournament with a lot expectations from them as well as their captain. Though they will miss their regular pace duo of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje against CSK, we may see completely Indian bowling setup. The have a powerful top order with Dhawan, Steve Smith as well as Prithwi Shaw who had an exceptional Vijay Hazare Trophy. They also have two of the most experienced IPL spinners Ravi Ashwin and Amit Mishra which boosts their spin department. With very little weaknesses in their setup, DC are one of the top contenders for the title and if Chennai don’t perform to their name, the match is always towards Delhi.
