IPL 2021 : RCB vs KKR match preview, predicted playing XI, Pitch Report and Match Details .
It’s hard to believe but it has already been a week since the IPL 2021 begun. There was so much drama, especially in Chennai, wherein we are witnessing some unbelievable turnarounds. Kohli’s confident RCB will take on KKR on super Sunday on the same venue. It’s expected to be a crackerjack of a game.
RCB on a winning streak
After a week since the tournament has gone underway, RCB is the only team that is unbeaten. They’ve given a couple of clinical performances. Glenn Maxwell has proven to be the X-factor of the team, he’s loving the no.4 position. He gets enough time to get settled and maximize later. Even though he hasn’t bowled in the league so far, he’s delivering with the bat under pressure. He took the stand in the last game where the middle order collapsed all of a sudden. He made sure he’s batting till the end and target particular bowlers in the end.
RCB has extracted immense talent from the youngsters in Shahbaz Ahmed and Harshal Patel. The orange cap holder has been an efficient choice for penultimate death overs for RCB. The only concern is Daniel Christian’s recent form, Kane Richardson might replace him. However, the former deserves another game.
Will KKR be able to come over their last defeat?
There have been some similar games to that but still, KKR fans are rubbing their heads thinking how did they lose that match? KKR needed mere 31 runs in the last 5 overs. It was expected to be an easy chase but MI came back strongly and KKR didn’t only lose the game but also by 10 runs, which is a big margin. They’ve many questions to answer regarding their batting approach, shot selection, etc. Andre Russell’s form is very crucial for the side as he can turn the game around. You need such game-changing players to deliver. Moreover, he’s proving to be a fantastic death bowler. After taking a 5-wicket haul in that match, his confidence will be over the rooftops. KKR will expect him to deliver in the death overs over and over again.
Pitch Report
The MA Chidambaram Stadium particularly hasn’t been great for chasing. Teams have struggled to capitalise despite being in a great position early on. The team winning the toss must bat first and put pressure on the opposition while defending.
