This Indian team now has the dubious record of the lowest score in an innings for India. They are without their regular captain and batting mainstay, Virat Kohli. They have lost one of their strike bowlers, Mohammed Shami to injury. Any sane human would say that the odds are largely against them now.
But this team has it in them to make a comeback. Although for that to happen they would have to play much better than what they did at Adelaide.
Like the first match, India have announced their playing XI one day before the match. There are quite a few changes this time. India have strengthened their bowling by adding Jadeja. Shubman Gill gets the nod ahead of Prithvi Shaw, thanks to his disastrous show of technique in Adelaide.
Mohammed Siraj, the other debutant also looked quite good in the warmup matches. All in all we expect a good clash on Boxing Day at MCG between these 2 marquee sides in test cricket.
