CSK vs MI Match Preview and Predication XI
Mumbai Indians will be eyeing the top position of the points table in their game against the Chennai Super Kings tonight. CSK are struggling this year and their playoffs spot depends on other results. They are at the bottom of the points table with just 6 points in 10 games.

Dhoni’s Remarks On Youngsters

CSK captain MS Dhoni after the last match said that the team couldn’t find any spark in the youngsters to push them forward. Ruturaj Gaikwad got just 2 games and Narayan Jagadeesan just 1 to prove their metals. So if the youngsters Dhoni was talking about were Jagadeesan and Gaikwad then it was a harsh remark.

“CHANCE TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES” – DHONI

Dhoni iterated the fact that going ahead, the “youngsters” in the team will be able to express themselves more freely without the pressure of the points table. Dhoni’s remark means that one can definitely expect to see some changes in the CSK side tonight. Kedar Jhadav and Shane Watson can be left out owing to their poor returns.

Bravo has been ruled out of the tournament with an injury. It will be interesting to see whether CSK can finally fit Tahir in their side who was their leading wicket taker in the last season. Perhaps the exclusion of Tahir was one of the important tactical punts that CSK missed this season.

Mumbai Indians included Nathan Coulter-Nile in their side in an attempt to manage the workload of the Aussie fast bowler James Pattinson. That was 12 days ago and Coulter-Nile went for 51 in his first match and 33 in his second. Pattinson would be keen to get back into the mix.

Adapting To Conditions

MI has played majority of their matches in Abu Dhabi where they’ve performed exceptionally well. On the contrary, they’ve played just one game in Sharjah this year and that was a while ago. The pitches in Sharjah have slowed down and it’s no more a run fest here. Adapting to the slow conditions will be key for the pace heavy attack of Mumbai.
