DC vs CSK Match Preview and Predication XI .
Chennai Super Kings aim for a spot in the Top 4 but they will have to get past the in-form Delhi Capitals. Delhi has won both their matches in Sharjah this year whereas Chennai has lost the only match that they played here.
Sharjah Slowing Down
The pitches in Sharjah have slowed down considerably since the start of the season. The scores have gone down and while 200 at one point seemed a par score, it’s now a winning total. The last 7 innings have not seen a 200+ score here.
Csk Getting Combinations Right
CSK got their playing combinations right in their last match against SRH. The move to open with Curran proved to be an ingenious move. He provided the much needed fire power at the top. Shane Watson at 3 against DC can be a good tactic as Curran can handle Axar’s left arm spin, should he bowl in the powerplay.
Who Can Swing The Bat In The Death
CSK is one of the few teams in IPL that does not have a feared hitter in the death. Bravo and Dhoni have done it in the past but the same spark is nowhere to be seen this time around. If CSK hopes to qualify, they’ll need solid performances by their 4, 5 and 6.
Dc Bowling Biggest Challenge For Csk
DC’s bowling is one of the most effective going around this season. CSK’s batting is not in the best of shapes. Delhi will be looking to exploit this weak point of Chennai to gain another 2 points.
Injury Scares For Delhi
Injuries haunt Delhi more than anything else this year. Iyer had shoulder troubles in the last match and had to walk off the field. Pant’s injury has effectively disturbed the combination of the entire team. It still is an uncertainty as to their match fitness.
Dhawan Finding Form
Dhawan’s return to form has been a good sign for Delhi, especially as there’s no Pant and Hetmeyer in the lower order. He scored 57 and 69* in the last two matches. If Prithvi Shaw could get back in touch, the top order could cover for the slackened lower order.
