Kolkata Knight Riders beat Delhi Capitals by 59 runs to gain two crucial points. By this win they stay alive in the competition and strengthened their 4th spot in the points table.

OPENING WOES CONTINUED FOR KKR

Not being able to have a good start was one of the reasons for KKR’s inconsistency in this season. Today also it didn’t changed as they lost Gill and Tripathi inside the powerplay.

TWO ‘N’ DELIVERED:

Nitish Rana, who is coming on the back of string of low scores and Narine, making comeback after missing two matches joined together and anchored the innings for KKR. Nitish made 81 from 53 balls including 13 fours while Narine made 64 runs that too with tha strike rate of 200. Late blitz by Morgan helped them to post 194/6.

NO CENTURY No.3 for Dhawan

Chasing this mammoth total Rahane got LBW on the very first bowl of the inning. Dhawan, who was in red hot form didn’t able to deliver today and was castled by Cummins for just 6 runs. Shreyas and Pant tried to get them over but it was too much to for the duo.
