Riding on excellent bowling performance, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated in form Rajasthan by 37 runs.

Performers of the day:

Kolkata Knight Riders : Bat- Shubman Gill 47(34) Eoin Morgan 34*(23) Bowl- Mavi 4-0-20-2 Nagarkoti 2-0-13-2
Rajasthan : Bat- Curran 54(36) Buttler 21(16) Bowl- Archer 4-0-18-2 Unadkat 2-0-14-1

As it happened:

Narine ‘THE BATSMAN’ fails again  Batting first, KKR couldn’t get start they want as Narine fail early again for 15 runs. Unadkat castles him by a slower one.

Shubman Gill shines again

Drawing confidence from his match-winning knock from the last match, Gill continued his good form and played positively to keep the scoring rate around 8. Firstly he stitched a good partnership with Rana, who departed after being set for 22.

Promotion of ‘RUSSELL-MUSCLE’ didn’t work

KKR decided to promote Russel up the order to increase the scoring rate but the Caribbean failed to capitalize as he could only made 24 which included 3 sixes.

Late asault by Morgan

At one time, it seemed like KKR would finish around 160 but late assault by Morgan helped them to post a competitive total of *174/6*.

RR: Ground changed so the fortunes!

Chasing 174, never looked in a commanding position, thanks to some disciplined bowling from KKR bowlers. Sharjah Heroes failed in DUBAI. As RR’s batting is heavily dependent on their top 3, one of the three had to play till the end but they failed to do that. Firstly Captain smith departed cheaply in the process of playing an ambitious shot to Cummins. Sanju followed him and failed to a miscued pull to Mavi.

The Mavi- Nagarkoti show!

The two young Indian speedsters rattled the RR batting line up by their shear pace and accuracy as the duo took 4 wickets in 6 overs in between them and gave away just 33 runs.

No TEWATIA heroics today

Tewatia, the latest Indian sensation failed here to make an impact as he could manage only 1 wicket and 14 runs.

CURRAN:

The lone warrior While wickets were tumbling at one end, Tom Curran held one end firmly and saved the team from a big loss. In the process, he brought his maiden IPL fifty.
