MI vs KXIP Match Preview and Predication XI , At The Two Poles Of The Points Table .
Mumbai Indians take on Kings XI Punjab tonight in Dubai. Both the teams hold the two poles of the points table. Mumbai is comfortably seated at the second position whereas Punjab is languishing at the bottom of the table.

Mumbai Indians are looking to manage workloads, as Rohit and Jayawardene said. Coulter-Nile played in the last game and went for plenty of runs. Mumbai’s experiments can provide Punjab opportunities to exploit. But all said, Mumbai is a team with a heavy bench strength.

Moving Out Of The Comfort Zone

Mumbai will be playing tonight in Dubai, where they have previously played just a single game against RCB. The game went into a super over, which Mumbai lost. MI have received 5 of their total of 6 wins in Abu Dhabi. Dubai will be a move out of their comfort zone, an unchartered territory.

Chris Gayle was sent at 3 against RCB. KXIP opted for a strange tactic in the previous match, which worked. Gayle scored 53 of 45 deliveries. The strike rate might not be what we’re used to seeing but he did the job for the team. Can Gayle break free out of the powerplay will be a thing to look out for.

Batting depth is something that cannot be associated with Punjab this season. With Maxwell looking like a fish out of water, Punjab’s reliance on the top 4 is huge. If Mumbai manages to make early inroads into Punjab’s top order, things could get very difficult for Rahul’s team. On the other hand, Mumbai bats deep. Hardik, Pollard and Krunal at 5, 6 and 7 form a formidable lower batting order.
