Shikhar Dhawan Stars as Dc Beat Pbks by 6 Wickets. In a high scoring encounter , DC won the toss and invited Punjab kings to bat. Punjab kings batted brilliantly and set 195 run target for DC. In response , DC chased the target quite easily with 10 balls to spare. This is PKBS second straight defeat & yet again they are loosing momentum in the initial stage of the tournament. On the other hand DC are showing why they are one of the favourites to win the tournament.

Punjab kings started their innings brilliantly with scoring 59 in the powerplay without losing a wicket. Mayank Agarwal scored 69 of 36 deliveries including 4 sixes and 7 fours. KL Rahul scored 61 runs of 51 balls however he failed to shift gears. Punjab kings managed to reach 195 but they could have got even more. Chris Gayle and Nicholas pooran failed to leave an impact. In the end, Shahrukh Khan and Deepak Hooda helped Punjab to reach 194.

Shikhar Dhawan Shines With the Bat

In response DC openers took PBKS bowlers on remand and batted aggressively. Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi shaw gave a aggressive start to DC. Shikhar Dhawan was adjudged man of the match for his match winning knock. Here scored 92 runs of 49 deliveries including 2 sixes and 13 fours. In the end the target proved very easy for DC and they chased the target with 10 balls to spare. Marcus stoinis quick cameo took DC across the line in the end. He smashed 27 runs of 13 balls. Punjab kings bowlers didn’t proved economical. Their pacers were took on charge. M shami have 53 ruins in his 4 over quota. Meredith and Richardson also proved very expensive. This is Delhi’s second victory of the season. On the other hand Punjab kings have lot of areas to improve.
