Sunil Gavaskar’s comment on Kohli-Anushka

Virat kohli had a poor outing against the Kings 11 Punjab. While fielding he dropped two simple catches of KL Rahul while fielding at deep mid wicket. The later went on to make a cracking unbeaten hundred. Then while chasing Kohli was not looking in a good touch and was dismissed on mere 1 run by Cottrell. 
 

*What really happened?* 

Incident took place during the match between RCB and KXIP. Sunil Gavaskar was doing commentary for Star Sports in hindi panel along with Akash Chopra. While Virat was batting,Gavaskar criticised him sarcastically by saying,” _Inhone lockdown me bas Anushka ki gendo ki practice ki hai_ (he has only practised in Anushka’s deliveries in lockdown)”  After this fans took this statement by double standards and started to blame the commentator for his comment. 

Anushka’s response : 

After coming to know about the incidence Anushka sharma took a dig at Gavaskar using instagram saying that your message was distasteful.

Gavaskar Replied:

Knowing the controversy over this statement Gavaskar replied to Anushka’s comment saying that he did not blame Anushka for Virat failure.

*What’s going on Twitter?* 

Firstly netizens trolled Gavaskar for his comments and asked Star Sports to remove him from the commentary panel. Later when Gavaskar clarified about the misjudged comment netizens started to support  the Indian legend. The hashtag #WeSupportGavaskar  is now trending on Twitter.
