DC vs KKR Match Preview, Predication XI. A run feast is on the cards tonight because DC and DC KKR on each other in Sharjah. In the 4 innings played so far in Sharjah, the 200 run mark has been crossed every single time.

KKR – NEGATING THE RABADA EFFECT

KKR’s explosive batting versus DC’s skilled death bowling will be a contest to watch tonight. The last 4-5 overs here will be crucial for both the teams. We saw last match how RR came back into the match on the back of some poor death bowling. From KKR’s side, Russell most likely will take the death bowling duties.

PLENTY OF BOWLING OPTIONS FOR KKR

Plenty of bowling options to choose from in a ground like Sharjah could be a good thing for Karthik. It will give more opportunities to rotate the bowlers and not allow the batsmen to settle.

BANTON VS NARINE

Banton for Narine isn’t strictly speaking a like-to-like replacement. Narine the batsman might have failed but Narine the bowler is an asset for the KKR team. DC has three left-handers in their top 6 (Dhawan, Pant, and Hetmeyer). Narine becomes even more likely to play tonight and perhaps will get another shot at opening the innings with the bat.

DELHI – ASHWIN’S RETURN

Ashwin was seen in multiple practice sessions before the match. If he’s fit and available for selection, he will come in for Amit Mishra. Ashwin looked really good in the one over that he bowled against KXIP.

DOES DC HAVE THE EXPLOSIVENESS?

Delhi sure has players like Pant, Hetmeyer and Stoinis. We all saw what Stoinis can do. But the other two have not been able to strike it smoothly just as yet. The short boundaries of Sharjah may provide the perfect set-up for these players to come back into their hitting zone. On paper though, KKR has a much more promising explosive batting line-up as compared to DC.

BOWLERS WILL DECIDE THE MATCH

In a ground where 200 seems a par score, one would say that it’s the batsmen who’ll decide the game, but it’s quite the contrary. A lot will depend on bowlers like Rabada and Nortje if Delhi wants to win this high-scoring encounter.
