India have announced their T20I squad against England series which will take place at the same location after the test series is over. There are quiet of new surprising names in the list and number of shocking misses as well.
Suryakumar Yadav have finally made it to the T20I squad after performing in the IPL 2020
Many people were not happy when he was not selected in the Australia T20I series despite of giving impactful performances. He scored 480 runs with an average of around 30 and strike rate of 135. He was very good for MI in the middle overs. Ishan Kishan too got the reward after a fantastic IPL season. He had a great day on Saturday as he also scored a majestic 173 off just 94 balls in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Another surprising name in the squad is of Rahul tewatia who stole the limelights in the IPL after his unbelievable performances. Remember, he smashed 5 sixes off Sheldon Cottrell and got his team home.
With some delightful names in the squad, there were some names which were missing as compared to the last T20I series. Firstly, Sanju Samson has been dropped. This clearly shows that team management is looking beyond him considering the T20 World cup which will be played later in the year in India. Moreover, Manish Pandey is missing from the squad as well. Pant will keep for the team after a good run in the IPL in the Test series as well. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is back in the team after missing the IPL due to the injuries. Shami, Bumrah and Jadeja are rested taking the workload into consideration.
