Virat Kohli pumped up after RCB’s victory over SRH

Padikkal and ABD drive RCB to a commendable total:

At the Dubai International Stadium it was the SRH skipper David Warner who won the toss. And straight away he opted to bowl first considering the dew in the 2nd innings. RCB had a dream start with young Devdutt Padikkal 56(42) and Aaron Finch 29(27) setting up a 90 run partnership. But then both lost their wickets in successive deliveries.This made way for 2 new batsmen at the crease in form of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. AB and Virat just went through the tough overs of Rashid pushing for 1s and 2s in the outfield. The stage was set for a AB-Virat carnage but Kohli got out trying to clear the fence.And then it was the AB De Villiers show as he smashed the SRH bowlers all around the park to score 51 of 30 balls before getting run out in the final over.

Both Shivam Dubey and Josh Philippe didn’t get much of strike as RCB finished at 163/5. T Natarajan finished at 1/34 but the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma and Rashid Khan went wicketless. But then they bowled economical spells to pull back RCB’s score to 163 which at one stage looked like nearing the 180 mark.

Yuzi, Saini and Dubey pull things back for RCB:

SRH had a rather unlucky start as Warner was caught outside the crease courtesy some finger work by Umesh Yadav. Johnny Bairstow and Manish Pandey then joined together and played some fearless shots. They took the total to 89 of 12 overs by playing some sensible shots. RCB’s spin wizard Yuzi Chahal made way for RCB’s come back in his 3rd over. As he got Manish pandey 34(33) caught at long off. But still SRH were cruising towards the target with Bairstow smashing regular boundries. Yuzi Chahal once again made a come back in his final over by taking 2 crucial wickets of well set Bairstow and all rounder Vijay Shankar in 2 consequtive balls. Navdeep Saini too chipped in with important wickets as this caused a mini collapse in the SRH batting line up. Likes of Priyam Garg, Abhishek Sharma, Mitchell Marsh, Rashid could’nt contribute much with the bat.

SRH from 121/2 collapsed loosing 8 wickets for mere 32 runs courtesy some smart bowling by the RCB bowlers. Injured Mitchell Marsh too had to come out to bat with a limping leg but even he couldn’t do much with the required rate climbing. SRH eventually lost the match by 10 runs. Yuzi Chahal and Navdeep Saini were the pick of the bowlers for RCB as both finished with figures of 18/3 and 25/2 respectively. Shivam Dubey too chipped in with 2 wickets for RCB. 153/10 is all SRH could score eventually courtesy their massive collapse. Yuzi Chahal backed the man of the match award for his match winning performance.
